Taylor Swift: "Ex-boyfriends writing songs about me is only fair"

Taylor Swift understands ex-boyfriends have every right to write songs about her.

The country-pop star is well-known for writing tracks in the face of relationship breakdown, with recent song titles including 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' and 'I Knew You Were Trouble'.

Speaking to InStyle, Swift acknowledged that it is fair game if her ex-boyfriends also want to pen songs about their breakup. She said:

"If I'm gonna write songs about my exes they can write songs about me. That's how it works. I'm not gonna complain about it. I'm not gonna sit there and say, "I'm the only one who can write songs about this relationship."

Swift's past boyfriends include the likes of Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner, whilst she reportedly had a fling with One Direction's Harry Styles in late 2012. Watch Harry Styles pay respect to Swift at the BRITs below:
