Taylor Swift on upcoming royal performance: 'I've been asking about the etiquette!'

'I Knew You Were Trouble' superstar Taylor Swift has been confirmed to perform at the impending royal Winter Whites Gala for Prince William and Duchess Catherine next month, and she has revealed that she's excited but nervous about her appearance.

The event will take place on December 8 at London's Royal Albert Hall and is in aid of homeless charity Centrepoint, and Swift told BBC Radio 2 that she's anxious because she's not quite sure how to behave around the Prince and Duchess:

"I'm really excited, I'm going to be playing the Winter Whites Gala, I'm really stoked, it's the first royal engagement I've done and I feel very honoured."

She added: "I've been asking about that [etiquette], I think I'm safe if I just shake hands and be polite. I think it's presumptuous to assume I'll meet them, so first I'm going to be polite enough to not assume I'll meet them."

Meanwhile, the songstress will return to London in February 2014 for a run of headlining dates at the O2 Arena, which have all now sold out, in support of her latest studio album, 'Red'. Watch her recent performance on 'The X Factor' below:
