Horrors man Dirty Dancing inspiration

The Horrors' Faris Badwan collaboration with Canadian opera singer, Rachel Zeffira was inspired by movie, Dirty Dancing.

Badwan and Zeffira have formed a new group, Cat's Eyes, and their sound reflects the 'girl group' sound of 'Be My Baby' which featured in the Patrick Swayze movie.

Talking to The Guardian, Badwan said: "I think we both watched Dirty Dancing. I watched it when I was about five, and Be My Baby was on the soundtrack. It was amazing."

Zeffira continued: "He was talking about the Ronettes and stuff, and I knew what he was talking about, but purely through Dirty Dancing." She turns to face him: "I can't believe you're admitting to it!"

Cat's Eyes eponymous debut album is out now.
