V Festival reveals 2012 line up, The Stone Roses and The Killers to headline

The organisers of V Festival have finally confirmed the full line up for this year and the event is set to be headlined by the newly reformed Stone Roses and Las Vegas based rockers The Killers

The popular outdoor weekend extravaganza will take place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire on August 18 and 19 respectively and both days and locations boast an impressive bill of artists and bands.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Snow Patrol and Nicki Minaj are among some of the other huge names that have been confirmed, and British stars Ed Sheeran, Example and Tinie Tempah will also treat festival goers to exciting live sets this summer.

V Festival's director, Simon Moran, explained in an official statement:

"We're really delighted with the lineup this year. We have a great mix of artists topping a bill that will see the welcome return to live performance of Manchester's finest export [The Stone Roses], along with some of the biggest acts in the music industry. The mix of established and exciting breakthrough acts promises to give festival goers a cracking weekend."
