The Script inspired by McCartney

Irish rockers The Script, who are about to embark upon their first arena tour, have revealed that "story-telling" is "the art of a good song and show".

They are due to begin the extensive string of dates on Monday, March 14 in Liverpool and frontman Danny O'Donoghue explained to the Daily Star that the band can't wait:

"From the big productions of Take That to the stripped-back nature of Macca’s gigs, you learn from all of them."

“The biggest thing we got from watching their shows is how you draw an audience in so it’s like they’re on stage with you."

These impressive sources of inspiration will also inspire their stage set up:

"We’d say we go more down the Macca route with our shows."

“We’re pretty stationary on stage ’cos we have to play instruments, so we let the music take over. People come to see us to hear the songs, not for pyrotechnics.”
