Danny O’Donoghue wants to return to The Voice

Danny O’Donoghue has revealed he wants to return as a coach for the second series of The Voice.

The Script frontman, who guided Bo Bruce to the final of the BBC talent show, told the Daily Star that he would love to take his place on the spinning red chair again when it returns for another run next year:

“I’m committed to coming back next year if I’m asked. Who wouldn’t want to be involved?”

Despite ratings dipping to below five million for the semi-final stages, and winner Leanne Mitchell’s debut single entering at a lowly No.45 last week, the Irishman says he still considers the show a huge success:

“I think it was a huge hit despite what people say about the ratings. When you have a new show it will take a bit of time to get it right.”
