Danny O'Donoghue slams The Voice judging accusations

Danny O'Donoghue has slammed claims The Voice UK judges are abandoning their acts ahead of the live shows.

A source accused judges O'Donoghue, will.i.am, Jessie J and Sir Tom Jones of leaving their contestants to fend for themselves in favour of concentrating on their own careers.

The Script singer took to Twitter today (April 6) to strongly deny the allegations.

He explained: "Ever heard of Skype , Internet and mobile phones. Your never far away. I've spent more time with teamdanny then i have my family #dedication.

He added: "I had members of my team, most dates on the stage with me , singing songs during soundchecks and learning the ropes backstage #thatscoaching (sic)."

A BBC spokesperson also denied the claims, telling British newspaper The Sun: "It's ridiculous to suggest the coaches haven't spent enough time coaching their artists. Viewers will see as the shows progress [that] all four spent a great deal of time with their acts."

The Voice's blind audition stages and battle rounds are filmed weeks in advance, before the hotly-anticipated live shows kick off later in the series.

The show has come under scrutiny over the past week - with Jessie J being accused of acting like a diva on the hit TV talent show.

O'Donoghue blasted the rumours and the nature of the unsubstantiated reports, tweeting:

"Telly mix= bullsh*t story about Jessie , she's nothing but an angel #sourcesarelying (sic)."
