Jay McGuiness is a dab hand in the DIY department and finds working with his hands a good way to unwind and relax. So much so, that he's been offering his services out to his family - any excuse to get his toolbox out.

The 23-year-old revealed on The Wanted's fan website, that:

“It can be a bit of a stressful job but I have my can of beer and my radio on and it’s all good. It’s hard to believe that I’m actually a DIY man now! I’ve been doing stuff for family mainly, and I’ve definitely made a lot of progress since I started.

“I even painted my mum’s kitchen last week. The only downside is I’ve been getting a sore throat from all the dust on the shelves.”

The Wanted cancelled their European tour recently due to 'unforseeable changes in our scheduling'.
