The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran open to acting roles

The Wanted star Siva Kaneswaran has revealed his desire to try out acting.

The singer and model is currently assessing his options after the split of The Wanted earlier this year.

He is now based in Los Angeles and the Irishman told the Daily Mail that he is looking beyond music when it comes to career prospects.

Kaneswaran said: "My dream role is to be in something like True Detective.

"I wouldn't mind playing a bad cop because everyone wants to be the bad guy sometimes. My fiancée, [Nareesha McCaffrey] would totally love that. Girls love a bad guy sometimes."

The singer is also currently working on a solo album and the Mail add that he has recorded a song with Rita Ora.

Speaking about The Wanted, he added:" We were never competitive as a band. We all agreed to do our own stuff. I wouldn't enjoy beating someone, it's just about being happy.

"Of course you want to get to number one and you are up against everyone in the charts."
