The Wanted take on Blue in public spat

Following a report in the London newspaper Metro that claimed Blue's Lee Ryan had hit out at The Wanted at last week's Nintendo 3DS launch event, member Tom Parker has sent him a personal message.

Writing to Ryan, publicly, on social networking site Twitter this afternoon, March 27, he said:

"Dear Mr Ryan. Im writing this message to say fuck you calling us "dull" in the paper today. Im really excited to see you represent the UK at eurovision this year. My thoughts, and more importantly MY PRAYERS will be with you at this very difficult time."

Blue's official Twitter account then shot back a message that apologized for earlier comments:

"I'd like to set the record straight about my comments that have been reported today. I was only making a joke that too many current music acts are overly 'media trained'. I didn't mean to cause any offence and my comments were not aimed at any band in particular at all. For the record I think The Wanted are a great band!"

Parker then replied:

"apology accepted. We'd love for you to come and see the show and perhaps get a beer after"
