The midweek singles chart update is full of hot new entries this afternoon, October 19, and boyband The Wanted have claimed the No.1 position as their own with new single 'Lightning'. 

The lads have shot into the top spot this week with their latest offering, knocking Rihanna and Calvin Harris' collaborative single, 'We Found Love', down a place to No.2.

The Top Ten has two other new entries today from Kelly Clarkson at No.5 with her anthem 'Mr. Know It All' and Lana Del Ray with 'Video Games' at No.6. 

Justin Bieber's festive single 'Misteltoe' has made an appearance at No.13 and The Calling's 2001 smash hit 'Wherever You Will Go' has climbed to No.14 thanks to its recent cover by Charlene Soraia, whose version is even higher up at No.3.
