The Wanted targeted by "fresh" cougars with naughty banners

Hunky boy band The Wanted have revealed that they get a lot of attention from their older listeners, or "cougar fans" as they call them.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, the 'Glad You Came' stars explained that the mums are worse than the teenagers and are even getting creative with their come-ons now that the festive season is looming:

"Our cougar fans are getting more fresh than we are. They’ve started doing Christmas-based puns on their banners which are very funny – things like: “I want to empty your sack”.

"It’s a bit awkward when they’re holding their signs next to a little girl but still, we think they’re really inventive."

The lads also let slip that they're set to record an exciting collaboration, but refused to reveal the artist and added that the song they were meant to work on with the unnamed female is "one of the worst songs in the world":

"What is really exciting is a duet with an American female, which we’re recording soon. We said we’d only do it if the track was good enough. We’re not going to release something that’s shit, and at the moment the song they want us to do is one of the worst songs in the world."

"So we could take one of our songs on the album and have her join in but that’d be skanking fans a bit making them re-buy it."
