Representatives for both The Wanted's Max George and partner Michelle Keegan have denied speculation that they have called off their wedding.

It had been suggested in the media that the pair, who got engaged last year, had decided to cancel plans to marry.

However, as Digital Spy reports, representatives for both parties have confirmed that a date for the wedding was never actually set - and that the pair are just taking their time. A spokesperson for the Wanted confirmed:

"They are not rushing and are taking as much time as necessary to plan the wedding. Both Max, who is touring, and Michelle have hectic work ­schedules making it almost ­impossible to pin down a date."

A spokesperson for Coronation Street actress Keegan meanwhile added: "The date had never been set. They are still very much a couple."
