The Wanted become first British boy band to hit No.3 on the U.S. singles chart since Take That

The Wanted are continuing their success across the pond and have hit the No.3 spot on iTunes in the USA, which makes them the first British boy band to achieve the impressive feat since Take That back in '95 who charted at No.7 with 'Back For Good'.

The lads were so excited to hear the news that they shared a screenshot with their fans to document the milestone and wrote on Twitter (February 26):

"AMERICA - you continue to amaze us! #3 on iTunes, this is unbelievable! #GLADYOUCAME"

It was also announced earlier this week that the 'Lightning' superstars have been confirmed as musical guests on an upcoming episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on March 20.

The heartthrobs have been laying down some serious groundwork in America and recently spent a few weeks touring the country, which led to 'Glad You Came' being picked up by the hit comedy musical series, Glee.
