The Wanted plan to take Justin Bieber to Mexico for tequila

The Wanted have revealed plans to take Justin Bieber to Mexico so that he can legally drink.

Bieber only recently turned 18 - meaning that he is still three years short of the legal drinking age in the US, which is 21.

Speaking to The Sun, The Wanted's Tom Parker said however that the legal age in nearby Mexico is 18 - so they're planning on taking their former tour buddy across the border for some tequila. He said:

"We're going to San Diego and walking him over the border to Mexico and getting the tequilas down. He can't drink until he’s 21 in America, but in Mexico he can drink at 18."

As previously reported, The Wanted today (April 10) announced that they are set to headline a special Olympic Torch Relay event in Birmingham in June.

It comes in addition to a massive Olympic Torch event the lads have already announced at London's Hyde Park in July.
