The Wanted say their mums are still shocked by their success

The Wanted have revealed that their collective mothers are still taken aback by their success - both in the US and at home.

The band have caused a splash over the pond in recent months as they attempted to break Stateside, with a number of heavyweight TV appearances under their belts.

Speaking to Capital FM, the group said that their families still can't quite get their heads around The Wanted's success in the US - and in Britain too. Tom Parker said:

"Yeah, I mean my mum cannot believe it. It's all a bit surreal for them, even just in the UK it's so surreal for them. She forgets sometimes that we're in this 'famous boy band', and now to go to the States is like a whole new level."

Max George meanwhile said: "My mum rang me buzzing the other day because she heard 'Chasing The Sun' on the radio here, she was buzzing. She was like, 'I've just heard 'Chasing The Sun', it's your song that'."
