The Wanted stress there is no One Direction rivalry

Boyband The Wanted have spoken out about the supposed ongoing feud between them and heartthrobs One Direction and insisted there is no bad blood despite constant press reports.

Both groups will share the stage at this year's Jingle Ball 2012 on December 7 in New York City and apparently there has been tension growing among them, but The Wanted's Max George explained that it's all untrue: "There's no rivalry there."

Member Tom Parker added to the Huffington Post: "They're British and they're doing their thing and we're doing our thing and I think it's just great with the two British bands in the US."

Meanwhile, One Direction's Liam Payne recently told Now magazine that The Wanted have made too big a deal out of the constant comparisons: "The Wanted have made their career more about us than anything else. They've only got themselves to blame."
