Heartthrob Max George, of boyband The Wanted, has revealed that the press twisted stories about his split from fiancée Michelle Keegan and insisted "there's nothing bad there" despite the reports.

Speaking to Entertainmentwise, the 'Gold Forever' singer explained that while they did decide to end their engagement they wish each other well and the drama surrounding the ring is nothing more than tabloid gossip:

"We're not so much in touch its just what happens with these things, sometimes you have to leave each other alone and let each other get on with it because it was a really serious relationship.”

Referring to the story about how George supposedly begged Keegan to give him back the £10k piece of jewellery, he added:

"That's a load of b******s I don't know where that came from, I literally have no idea and then the whole thing about my ex saying a load of s**t.”
