The Wanted: "One Direction are too manufactured"

The Wanted think One Direction will "come into themselves" in a few years time, as at the moment they are too manufactured.

The British boy bands have been at loggerheads of late - with rival boyband members Zayn Malik and Max George bursting into a bitter war of words on social networking site Twitter at the end of last year.

The Wanted - comprising Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Max George and Tom Parker - believe that the groups shouldn't be compared though as they are so different.

While Parker revealed The Wanted are "very real", he thinks former X Factor contestants One Direction are more swayed by their music label.

He told OK! magazine: "When you come out of a TV programme you get taught to be a certain way. I'm pretty sure over the years they'll come into themselves. They're still young and, do you know what, they're nice lads."

The Wanted understand why comparisons were drawn between the two groups when they both launched an assault on the US charts last year, with Parker revealing: "Everyone kicked off over here and it was very One Direction versus The Wanted.

He added: "It went worldwide. We're both British bands doing it for the Brits and taking it to America and I don't get why people are trying to create this feud between us."
