Max George has denied a newspaper report that suggests his love of the Spice Girls is so strong that he dresses up as them.

The Daily Star published an article today (January 23) with quotes from a source claiming George loved the 90s pop group so much that he had all of their merchandise.

The singer reportedly even took to dressing up as Mel B and Emma Bunton for parties, with his Scary Spice impersonation apparently top notch.

However, The Wanted star took to his Twitter account after the story was published to dismiss the claims - and make a joke about the Sugababes. He said:

"Ok...So the paper says I dress up as the spice girls. This is NOT true. Sugababes however....Haha."

George meanwhile also recently denied speculation that he is dating actress Lindsay Lohan after she posted a photo of the pair on Instagram.
