The Wanted's feud with One Direction shows no signs of abating after Jay McGuiness said that he thinks Max George would beat Zayn Malik in a fight.

The two boybands have sparred on a number of occasions on Twitter and The Wanted have often been asked about the 'Kiss You' group whilst promoting their new reality TV show.

George and Malik have been the subject of the talk recently, with a charity boxing match mooted between the two groups.

Speaking to the Mirror, The Wanted's Jay McGuiness said that he believes his bandmate would come out trumps in fisticuffs with Malik. He said:

"We’re not friends with One Direction. We don't hang out or anything. I reckon Max would win in a fight with Zayn. He's got good fighting skills and he doesn’t bruise very easily. I've seen Max in action disagreeing with a taxi driver."

The singer continued: "I don’t worry about fighting with One Direction, I’m trying to keep a dignified silence, like the Queen. She says ‘Never deny and never confirm’."
