The Wanted star Max George has admitted that One Direction are a "phenomenal brand" that only comes around once in a lifetime.

The 'Glad You Came' group and the 'Kiss You' boyband have sparred a fair bit over the last year online and in interviews.

However, it seems like a truce could be in the offing, with Max George telling Entertainmentwise that his rivals are a true force to be reckoned with. Referring to the comparison between the two groups, the singer said:

“I don't think you can compare One Direction to anyone if I'm brutally honest. They're a phenomenon and it only happens once in our lifetime and it's happened. Fair play to them."

When asked if he's tired of being compared to One Direction, George replied: "It's not fed up. To me they're so different, they're this brand, this phenomenal brand. We're at a level we're very proud of and a level that we never thought in a million years we'd get to."
