The Wanted scrapped Justin Bieber collaboration because it didn't fit their sound

The Wanted have revealed that they chose not to pursue a song written by Justin Bieber because it wasn't in keeping with their own sound.

The British-Irish group teamed up with the Canadian superstar for a new track - but it was shelved.

The band, who are releasing new album 'Word of Mouth' on November 4, admitted that the tune was more suited to Bieber himself. Max George told MTV:

"We did a song with Justin. I think it was a great song and he did an amazing job writing it, but I think it was very much more suited to his style."

Siva Kaneswaran meanwhile commented on their new music: "We want to put out the best us and we are ready now and every song is so personal and we've all aged as writers, and it's very mature...and it's the best album yet."
