Tiësto named world's highest paid DJ

Tiësto has been named the world's highest paid DJ after pocketing $22 million last year.

The Dutchman topped a list curated by Forbes as they looked to find the world's most profitable electronic dance act.

Tiësto's grand sum is said to be inflated by a headline set at the Coachella festival and global touring.

In second place on the list is dubstep star Skrillex, who made an estimated $15 million last year, whilst Swedish House Mafia takes the bronze medal with $14 million.

Other names on the list include French powerhouse David Guetta with $13.5 million, with Avicii completing the list at No.10 with $7 million.

Tiësto's last full studio album, Kaleidoscope, was released in 2009 but only landed at No.20 in the UK albums chart.
