Sir Tom Jones tips Adele for the next James Bond theme

Sir Tom Jones has thrown his weight behind Adele as the speculation over who will record the next James Bond theme song intensifies.

Legendary Welsh crooner Jones recorded the theme for Thunderball way back in 1965, but he reckons now is the time for Adele to put her mark on the famous Bond franchise.

Skyfall, the next Bond film, is due out later this year and although Jones knows the megastar doesn't need to do it, he reckons she would be a perfect fit. The Sun quotes him as saying:

"I was 22 when I did the Thunderball song and it changed my career and was a huge honour. Not that she needs it but Adele would be the perfect choice for doing Skyfall."

As previously reported, Adele reigned supreme last night (February 12) at the Grammy Awards, winning a total of six gongs.
