Tulisa Contostavlos has admitted that her personal assistant comes with her on dates.

Speaking on Chris Moyles' BBC Radio 1 show, the X Factor judge revealed that her PA Gareth Varey "doesn't leave her side".

She added that he even sometimes reads some of her texts and often replies. She said:

"Gareth is a legend. He doesn't leave my side and supervises dates. If I started seeing a guy he'd be on the first four dates, we come as a package. He's just there. Gareth sometimes reads my messages, he even replies. I only hang about with people I don't feel awkward around. I don't let many people into my circle."

The news comes a few weeks after Tulisa was embroiled in a sex tape scandal, with the singer admitting her part in the video via a YouTube confession. Her stepmother went on record soon after the incident broke to criticise Tulisa's choice in men.
