24 APRIL 2020 (TORONTO, ON) - Having just released "Seasons Going By", the first single of his upcoming album, Albanian cellist and composer Redi Hasa presents ‘Time’ ft. Akin Sevgör, out on Decca Records on 24 April. This is the first of three special tracks to be released in addition to his album ‘The Stolen Cello’ coming out on 4 September.

‘Time’ combines intrinsic melodies by Redi with Akin Sevgör’s signature outer space-electronic sound generating an intriguing and suspenseful piece loaded with tension. This first single captures a moment in time, as explained by Akin, “I got the feeling that Redi was trying to catch ‘time’ with a charming approach. He was converting ‘time’ or ‘the concept of time’ to a phenomenon that we can run after and reach. “

Redi further comments on the concept behind the new track: “To find a connection between souls, so that music becomes a bridge to meet us. I had great pleasure in sharing my song 'Time' with Akin. I found his interpretation of the piece very fascinating. He changed its shape and found different paths that cross with the cello. Segments that seek each other to create a whole piece like a puzzle.”

This first single is the perfect introduction to the set of beautifully curated special singles the Albanian composer presents. “In my life I've always tried to share my music. It is a way to know the soul of people, to open windows, to see the beauty of the diversity.” says Redi regarding his intentions with the collaborations.

In addition to ‘Time’, the Albanian composer has also prepared ‘The Prayer of the Moon’ featuring Mercan Dede’s exotic production style and ‘Butterfly’ featuring Alva Noto’s innovative glitch arrangements.
