Blue Note Re:imagined, a brand new collection of classic Blue Note tracks reworked and newly recorded by a selection of the jazz scene’s most exciting young talents, is out now. The full album release comes four months after the album’s first single – Jorja Smith’s fiery version of St Germain’s Rose Rouge – and follows a hugely successful campaign that has seen continued support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2 and 6Music, who have today made the album their Album Of The Day.

Listen to Blue Note Re:imagined BELOW

The result of a partnership between legendary labels Decca Records and Blue Note, Blue Note Re:imagined features a rollcall of internationally acclaimed jazz, soul and R&B acts reimagining music originally created by some of the New York label’s most legendary alumni. Alongside Smith’s reworking of Rose Rouge are Nubya Garcia’s take on Joe Henderson, reimaginations of Donald Byrd by both Jordan Rakei and Japanese multi-instrumentalist and producer Kan Sano, Ezra Collective’s reworking of Wayne Shorter, and Poppy Ajudha tackling Herbie Hancock.
