Singer-songwriter and rising pop superstar Johnny Orlando reveals the official video for fan-favourite song “Adelaide” off of his current EP, It’s Never Really Over, released last month on Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, and Island Records. “Adelaide” was one of three brand new songs featured on the EP and became a stand-out track out of the gate being added to over 20 New Music Friday playlists around the world and garnering over 2.5 million global streams in less than a month. Cumulatively, all 6 songs on It’s Never Really Over have surpassed 60 million total streams.

"I'm so excited to share the official music video for ‘Adelaide’!" remarks Orlando. “This is one of my favourite videos that I’ve ever created, and I think it really reflects the new direction I am taking with my music. I worked closely with the director Iris Kim, to achieve a really unique visual that utilizes a variety of visual effects and camera movements to convey a dynamic story."

The official “Adelaide” video premiered this morning on Orlando’s YouTube alongside a live Q&A with fans where he was able to watch it together with them for the first time. Shortly after the livestream, the official video made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU, Nick Music and via the Viacom Times Square billboard in New York City.

Earlier this week, Orlando took home a 2020 MTV Europe Music Award (EMA) for Best Canadian Act, marking the second year in a row that he has earned the title. Fellow nominees in the category this year included Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Jessie Reyez and Alessia Cara, and previous recipients of the award include Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber.

Orlando’s current single “Everybody Wants You” has now cracked the top 20 at Canadian radio, and Orlando remains iHeartRadio’s Future Star for November.

Fans can expect additional announcements from Orlando in the coming weeks as he continues to take on 2020.
