Sam Fender has shared a mesmerising new single, and the third track to be lifted from his forthcoming second album, Seventeen Going Under. Get You Down is streaming now, ahead of the album’s release on the 8th October.

Following Sam’s stunning return with chest-pumping first single, Seventeen Going Under, Get You Down launches like a rocket to the heart, as Sam turns the mirror on himself for source material. It’s a hypnotic, pulsating taster to one of the most anticipated records of the year.

Listen to "Get You Down" BELOW

“The whole record is about growing up and the self-esteem issues that you carry into your adult life, this song in particular is about how insecurity has affected my relationships. Definitely one of the more personal ones” – Sam Fender.

Whilst Seventeen Going Under is a more intensely personal record than Hypersonic Missiles, it’s lost none of Sam’s acute sense of observation. It’s a brave record. A defiant record. A celebratory record and an inspiring one too. Like only truly great songwriters can, Sam turns his own experience into art that speaks to, and resonates with all of us. These are stunning songs that arrow straight to, and straight from, the heart.

Returning to the live arena, Sam’s already performed to tens of thousands of fans with euphoric, show-stealing sets at the Reading & Leeds Festivals and Boardmasters. The festival appearances (TRNSMT, Isle of Wight and a homecoming headliner at This Is Tomorrow in Newcastle all still to come) weave through a sold-out headline tour that finds Sam playing Brixton Academy and two nights at Alexandra Palace. The tour also finds Sam back in Newcastle to headline the Arena in November.
