07 January 2022 (Toronto, ON) - Widely acclaimed composer, artist, drummer and musical director Pauli The PSM (he/they) releases their experimental ambient album OFFAIR: The Power of your Subconscious Mind Vol 1: SPACE via OFFAIR Records/Universal Music Canada, the country's leading music company. Featuring collaborations with veteran NASA astronauts Ron Garan and Jean-Francois Clervoy, and astrology-themed song titles, the album’s majestic, ear-sizzling percussion is inspired by space and afrofuturism.

The album also features gospel artist Liz Vice, artist and member of Harry Styles’ band Ny Oh, Berlin-based musician Yaffra, British alt-soul musician Tawiah and French composer Anne Chmelewsky.

Pauli The PSM, also known as Pauli Lovejoy, was born to Jamaican parents with Senegalese heritage in London, England and is currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. A longtime drummer for Sampha and Gorillaz, he is recognized as one of the “Top 100 Drummers in the World.” The multi-hyphenate has also served as music director for FKA Twigs, Jamie xx and Harry Styles. He is also credited as the music director and composer for the YouTube Original Black Renaissance featuring Michelle and Barack Obama. His solo projects have received critical acclaim from Vice, Fader, Dazed, Wallpaper and partnerships have included NASA, Tommy Jeans and MCM. Pauli, a longtime space-enthusiast, has worked creatively inspired by all things celestial for years. He previously collaborated with NASA for a special live performance at the Kennedy Space Center, was welcomed as a Constellation.earth crew-mate, and founded the The People’s Space Program to provide disenfranchised kids with resources to learn about space exploration and science.

OFFAIR Records is a joint venture between Universal Music Canada (UMC) and Versus Creative globally distributed by UMC and Virgin Music Label + Artist Services. With a community of established artists exploring beyond their familiar sonic territories, OFFAIR’s series of releases will bring instrumental and experimental soundtracks to listener-specific environments, mental spaces and shared universal moments. The mission of OFFAIR co-founders Rishi Shah and Nate Auerbach is to create deeper experiences with music. OFFAIR is building a brand, community, and distribution system together with their partners at UMC and Virgin Music to drive intentional listening, supported by special events, partnerships and more.
