On “I Wanna Live Forever,” the desire to be immortal is ultimately trumped by love. “I like the way your name feels coming out my mouth,” Alexander croons over a gentle acoustic riff and crisp beats. The song soon builds into a feel-good ode to love, spiked with crunchy guitar and squiggly synths. “If I can’t live forever, I wanna die in your arms,” he confesses on the chorus—one of his sweetest statements yet.
