Usher says he puts microphones in his audience to hear their thoughts

Usher has revealed that he puts microphones in the audience so he can hear their thoughts and feedback on his show.

Speaking to the BBC, the R&B star opened up about the type of fan that comes to Usher shows.

He reckons that his fans are "motivated" and are people who like to dance the night away. He said:

"I have a motivated fan. A fan that wants to move, that likes to dance. Nine times out of 10, they will work out listening to my music."

However, Usher added that he actually puts recording equipment in the audience so he can hear their thoughts on his performance. He said:

He added: "When I'm performing, I actually have microphones in the audience so I can hear what they're saying and get their feedback."
