Victoria Beckham has acknowleged that she doesn't always give off the happiest of faces.

The Spice Girl turned fashionista has something of a reputation for pouting and generally looking a little sullen in photoshoots.

However, speaking to the German Interview magazine, Beckham said that she "created the persona" and that she is very happy in real life.

She did admit however that she doesn't always look very excitable in photos. She said:

"Yes, I created this persona and I'm very different from that. I don't feel like I have to scream and shout about it - I know I am a happy person. So I don't get upset when people comment on the fact that I look quite miserable all the time. But people think I am. And you know, sometimes I think the same thing when I look at the pictures."
