Victoria Beckham describes The Queen as ‘chic’ in new video promoting Great Britain

Victoria Beckham has described The Queen as ‘chic’ in a newly-unveiled video celebrating the best that Great Britain has to offer.

The former Spice Girl was selected by This Is Great Britain, a campaign to promote the UK overseas, to discuss the best things about her homeland, and as well as choosing music, fashion and its multiculturalism, the monarch was also near the top of her list:

“The Queen is, I mean, she's an icon. She's so appropriate, very very chic - I mean, she's the Queen.

“I love music. David loves music - but he can't dance. When you look at the talent in Britain over the years, Stone Roses, Oasis, The Beatles, the Spice Girls, Adele, we really have a lot of talent and British music, again, like fashion, is very very cool and very very relevant.

“In Britain we have some incredible brands, when you look at Burberry, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Mackintosh, Hunter - we have really cool, quality British brands and I'm really proud to consider myself one of those.”

Despite living in Los Angeles with husband David and their four children for several years, the fashion designer revealed she is still very proud of her British roots:

“I love living in America, I embrace living in America but I am British, David is British, the kids are British and we're very very proud of that. I'm honoured to be supporting our country at such an exciting time.”
