Victoria Beckham on Spice Girls anxieties: 'I'm worried the other girls are more popular than me'

Fashion sensation and Spice Girls member Victoria Beckham has spoken out about her role in the pop group and admitted that she's always concerned she is the fans' least favourite member.

In a new interview with Elle magazine, the singer and designer explained that when the 'Wannabe' superstars reunited for the Olympic event last year she couldn't shake the feeling of worrying about her popularity compared to that of the other girls:

"When I was on stage with the Spice Girls, I thought people were there to see the other four and not me. And when I go out with David and people take pictures I think, 'They're here to take David's picture'."

Beckham, who modelled for an accompanying photoshoot (images shown below), also spoke about the success of her career and added that she's always had a strong work ethic and puts every effort into achieving her goals:

""It was never my intention to prove anybody wrong. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I don't have to work, I need to work. All these people [her fellow fashion designers], they've not just been given anything. They've worked hard. And I've never been given anything either."

"But I have a good work ethic; David has an incredible work ethic. I want my kids to have a good work ethic. I believe you can achieve anything if you work hard enough to get it."
