Holly Clausius Brings Power and Vulnerability to Life in ‘Thinkin’ About You’ Music Video"Thinkin' about you" is a great reminder to step back from hate and to find your truth in the chaos. Someone can think the worst of you, name call, and diagnose, but you shouldn't let that define who you are - you define who you are.OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Wanderstar Creatives Up-and-coming queer artist Holly Clausius debuts the music video for her latest single, "Thinkin' About You," a visual journey that powerfully portrays her resilience and self-discovery. Directed by Holly herself and shot by queer female cinematographer Caelin Moore, the video follows a symbolic tale of breaking free from manipulation and rediscovering one’s inner strength. Co-written with Canadian music icons Serena Ryder and Hill Kourkoutis, "Thinkin' About You" channels Holly’s painful experiences with a toxic roommate into an anthem of liberation. The video uses a surreal narrative to depict a “monster” created by a mad scientist—a reflection of how her former roommate misrepresented her. As the video unfolds, the monster, innocent and vulnerable, ultimately breaks free from the scientist’s control, symbolizing Holly’s journey toward reclaiming her identity and power. “The final idea came to me one night in my sleep - a mad scientist creating a monster - the way my roommate had me painted me in an evil light,” Holly shares. “But this monster couldn't help but be emotional, innocent, playful and not at all what the creator tried to build. Eventually, she breaks free and escapes to a lighter, happier, safer place.” The music video’s captivating narrative is haunting and empowering, capturing the essence of finding light after a dark period. “I was so excited to create a visual for the tune as I went to film school and directed and acted for as many years as I've sung,” says Holly.
