Los Angeles, CA… January 13, 2015- A fresh and powerful new voice from the contemporary jazz scene, Cheryl Barnes (www.CherylDBarnes.com), recently released her full-length album Listen To This which has already made it to the Radar Chart on SmoothJazz.com! The album was produced by Rahn Coleman who has worked with legends such as Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Barry White, Ray Charles and Tom Jones. Barnes' show will be under the musical direction of the executive producer of Listen To This, Keyboardist Phillip Cabasso. Barnes’ multi-format appeal has also earned her significant Triple AAA airplay for her heartfelt, jazzy rendition of Joni Mitchell’s “Come In From The Cold” which climbed to position #79 on MediaBase and is now on SmoothJazz.com’s Top 10 Spin increase chart. Barnes’ mystical soul-jazz ballad “Come With Me” has also been receiving spins on more than 60 terrestrial and internet stations in the smooth jazz format.  This includes Music Mix USA with its 5 million potential viewers, as well as Video Diversity, IndieMusic.tv, MoviesOnline.im and more.  It was also nominated for a “Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA)” for best jazz song! In a recent interview with All Access Music, Cheryl describes her enthusiasm for the HMMA Award nomination in addition to explaining, “I follow where my musical self takes me at any given time.
