BRIT School Alumni Kit Rice Debuts 'Living Life' EP

KAR Records are proud to announce the brand new Living Life EP from fast-rising British singer, songwriter and musician Kit Rice. The BRIT School graduate is fast-becoming one of the most exciting new vocalists to emerge from the UK’s dance and electronic music landscape, and his new EP lands in all online stores and streaming platforms on June 24.

Backed by recently released lead single ‘Not Enough’, a collaboration with veteran Garage producer DJ Fen (Ramsey & Fen), which has been supported by Capital XtraRinse FMComplexMTV UKLondon Live, and the MOBO Awards among others, Kit Rice’sLiving Life EP is a refreshingly brilliant 6-track offering, an eclectic and captivating musical display from Kit, with sensibilities that superbly cut across Funk, Soul, UK Garage and Hip-Hop music.

From its gritty bass-heavy title track ‘Living Life’ which will leave listeners immediately gripped and enthralled by Kit’s soothingly soulful vocals, to the infectious Funk club banger ‘Love Song’ which is inspired by the late great Prince and Justin Timberlake, to the gloriously optimistic ‘Dreaming’ featuring Orph Gang’s Christopher Blacc, Kit Rice has delivered yet again with the Living Life EP, as he continues to raise the bar for new British music.

And raising the bar continues to be a recurring theme for Kit Rice. Between making his debut in 2011 with his Not On My Time EP to rave reviews, working with Take That songwriter Ben Mark in 2012, collaborating with Cam Blackwood (George EzraJamiroquai,Cee Lo Green) on 2014 single ‘Nonsense’, and this new EP, Kit Rice can count the likes of BBC Radio 1Ministry of SoundFabricand DJ EZ, among the tastemakers that have championed his music and sound, along the way.

Speaking about the Living Life EP and the inspiration behind the record, Kit Rice says, “it is about my life as an artist, as an artist in a new age, with a society telling artists to conform and get back to ‘reality’. This EP is about my struggle and triumph. This is my reality. This is my story and I’m going to write it. I am not going anywhere. Music is a universal collective, not a competition. Music is for your soul & your heart. We have forgotten and I am here to jog your memory”.
