New Pharaohs Release Video For 'Nothing Without You'

New Pharaohs have revealed the lyric video for the sensuous new single ‘Nothing Without You’, which was premiered on Notion who say, "Combining wistful psychedelia with hints of 80s pop and a healthy dose of classic indie guitar work they’re forging a sound that’s instantly familiar while at the same time unmistakably new."

Keeping in line with the atmospheric tones of the track, the cinematic-style video features subtly seductive footage of the New Pharaohs creative mastermind Maya as well as beautifully simplistic images of the natural world that perfectly accompanies the poetic lyrics of ‘Nothing Without You’.

This is the third instalment from New Pharaohs. It follows the highly-acclaimed debut ‘Empire’, which reflected Maya’s childhood memories of war-torn terror in the Middle East and her journey to Europe as a refugee and the impressive second single ‘This Changes Everything’, which continued to enchant listeners with its alluring elegance and was playlisted on Radio X and gained plenty of support from BBC London Radio (Introducing).

The UK music scene was first introduced to Maya’s artistic song-writing skills through the electronic indie-punk band Sohodolls who was picked up by Alan McGee (Oasis, Creation Records) and enjoyed considerable international success, which led to Maya’s songs featuring in Gossip Girl, Californication, Nip/Tuck, Vampire Diaries and even the Super Bowl and Budweiser. Maya also co-wrote the hit song ‘Beat Of My Drum’ for Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts.

Now with the New Pharaohs, Maya is delivering a unique blend of alternative-pop that captures inspiration from the likes of The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Serge Gainsbourg, Pixies, The Cardigans and Lana Del Ray to create a spellbinding and infectious contemporary sound.
