Sister act Bloom Twins, have announced their debut London headline show, at Birthdays in Dalston, on Thursday July 28th as part of Robomagic’s ‘Finding The Female Headliner’ night, exclusively for female artists and female-fronted acts. This will be the capital’s latest chance to see the girls’ captivating live show.

The announcement follows the release of their video for new single ‘Amnesia’, which premiered on The Independent. The track is taken from their forthcoming debut album due out later this year, and is a perfect example of the girls’ “dark pop”, serving up haunting dual vocals and electro beats.

It was featured as Track of the Day on Record Of The Day recently who hailed its “excellent electronic pop sound that reminds us of that great 80’s cult band Propaganda. Icy vocals combine with bold production on a super song… smart, sassy and super cool.”

Born and raised in a small town outside of Kiev in the Ukraine, 19-year-old identical twins, Sonia and Anna Kuprienko, were both classically trained. After signing to Select Model Management and releasing their debut track ‘Fahrenheit’ in 2013 Bloom Twins had a double impact on both music and fashion, opening the doors to profile pieces in publications such as Vogue, i-D, Wonderland, Hunger, The Guardian, Daily Mail, and The Sunday Times.

The release in 2014 of a politically-charged cover version of the classic Bob Marley track ‘Get Up, Stand Up’, in sympathy with Ukraine’s national uprising, saw the girls featured on BBC’s Newsnight. As a result, they decided to move to London where they were able to pursue their music. They fuse stylish electronica with haunting melodies, delivered in their distinctive vocal style, creating truly unique results.

The girls recently completed an Italian tour with Duran Duran, after a successful UK arena run with the band last year. Keyboardist Nick Rhodes was so impressed by the twins that he has recorded and produced the majority of their forthcoming debut album.
