Wretch 32 admits disappointment at BRITs snub

Wretch 32 has admitted that he was "angry" after not being nominated for a BRIT Award.

The rapper enjoyed a successful 2011 but ultimately missed out on a nod at the awards, which are due to take place in February.

However, his anger only lasted an hour before he resigned himself to the fact that it just "wasn't meant to be". He told the Daily Star:

"The BRITs are such a big deal, it would have been huge to have been nominated. But after an hour of being angry, I just sat back and went: 'Hey, it wasn't meant to be.' It’s sad not to be nominated, but if you're not in the running when everybody knows you should have been, then that's cool. When you get massive love from supporters, none of the other stuff matters."

Wretch 32 had previously said late year that work is going well on his next album, due for release this year, with the desire to give fans "fresh music" spurring him on to finish it quickly.
