"London-based trio Zoëtrøpe are one of those wonderful rare discoveries of a band that sucks you into their simplicity and unstoppable energy in seconds. Formed last year and made up of HannahLogic (moody, wobbling basslines), Zoë Grisedale-Sherry (heavy, spacious beats) and Amy Smith (roaring, spiked guitars and stunning, feral vocals, you can think of early Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Siouxsie Sioux & The Banshees, Velvet Underground and to a certain extent The Fugs. It isn’t often that you find a punk band that manages to walk the line of sounding effortless while remaining tight enough to play actual songs, but these three have that delicate combination nailed"
