Simon was a former Marketing Manager at Arista Records, later becoming Head of TV Products, while Denise was Sales Director and later Director of TV Products. During their time at BMG they worked with acts such as Take That, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Lisa Stansfield to name a few. Since leaving BMG Upside have worked closely with a number of Record Companies, including Universal, Sony/ BMG, Warners, V2, EMI / Virgin and are regular consultants to Simon Cowell and his Syco Record label, working on acts from the X Factor.
Upside Records have also just signed a label deal with EMI Recods to source and release tracks that have been hits all over the world.
Simon and Denise have been behind concepts for compilation CD's with sales totalling in excess of 6 million units in the UK in the short time since they left BMG and have had number 1 albums in New Zealand and Australia.
