Bastille break into the U.S. Billboard Top 10 with 'Pompeii'

British synth-pop group Bastille have made a strong impression on the American music market after their single 'Pompeii' managed to break into the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10.

The anthemic track has climbed from No.12 to No.10 following 23 weeks on the chart and the band have just finished a short mini-tour of the USA in support of their album, 'Bad Blood'. They will be back in the U.S. from March 31 for a full headlining run.

Earlier this month, the band's Dan Smith told Gigwise that they keep trying to work on their sophomore record but they have such a hectic schedule that studio time keeps getting put on the back-burner:

"If we weren't touring so much we'd probably have finished the album by now. I've never wanted our music to be one thing. I guess we make things when we feel like it."
