'Pompeii' hitmakers Bastille are teaming up with Passion Pit for an exciting U.S. tour that will kick off in New York City on June 23. 

The band will hit the road with Passion Pit this summer for a series of dates that will be known as the Mercedes Evolution Tour and tickets will be made available to consumers through a social media campaign at www.mbevolutiontour.com where fans submit judged entries to win pairs. 

Bastille's frontman Dan Smith issued a statement on the jaunt and teased that they will perform new material for these shows: "It'll be fun to start playing people some of the new songs that we've been working on."

Mercedes-Benz Evolution Tour Dates with Bastille and Passion Pit:

• June 23 - Bastille at Hammerstein Ballroom, New York City, NY
• July 29 - Bastille at Navy Pier, Chicago, IL
• Aug. 4 - Bastille at Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles, CA
• Sept. 3 - Passion Pit at Georgia Freight Depot, Atlanta, GA
• Oct. 22 - TBD at The Moody Theater, Austin, TX
