Gossip frontwoman Beth Ditto has revealed that she doesn't like listening to herself sing on the radio or television.

During a recent interview, the 'Standing In The Way Of Control' star described hearing or watching her own performances as "painful":

"I think it's painful watching and listening to yourself. It's not my favourite thing. I'd rather listen to other people's music."

Referring to her band's latest album, she added: "Our new sound it's more electronic and more pop. More mellow. I listened to it once and then never again. It is so slow."

Ditto also talked about her love of getting up early in the morning, explaining that it's a relaxing time for her: "This time of day is my favourite. I love the morning. I love it. Nobody's up, you're doing your own thing. I like to listen to Loretta Lynn and mop the floor in the morning."
