Charli XCX wants to write for Justin Bieber

Songstress Charli XCX has revealed that there's one superstar she would really love to write music for in the near future.

Speaking to press at the Billboard Music Awards last night (May 17), the beauty explained that she is a big fan of Justin Bieber and would definitely be interested in writing something for him if the opportunity were to arise.

The hitmaker admitted that she thinks he's a talented singer: "I like Justin Bieber as a pop star. I think he's really, really great. I really love the song 'Baby.' I think it's awesome. I would love to. I've never written for a boy before. I don't even know what I would say, but who knows?"

The 'Boom Clap' sensation went onto add that she's looking forward to getting back into the studio and being creative: "Last month I had a bit of a breakdown because I was feeling like I couldn't be creative enough so I've booked a load of studio time and I'm gonna be writing for myself, for my new project, and some other artists too. I can't say who. But yeah, there's songwriting going on right now."
