Ella Henderson stays at No. 1 on UK singles chart for second week

British songstress Ella Henderson has notched up her second consecutive week at the top of the UK singles chart with her smash ‘Ghost’.

18-year-old Ella’s debut single – co-written with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder – debuted at No. 1 last week and remains so despite competition from boy band 5 Seconds of Summer.

The Aussie group have had to settle for the No. 2 spot after Ella outsold their track ‘Don’t Stop’ by just 3000 copies.

The rest of this week’s top five is completed by Ed Sheeran with ‘Sing’, down one to No. 3, George Ezra is new in at No. 4 with ‘Budapest’, and Sam Smith is down one to No. 5 with ‘Stay’.

Besides 5 Seconds of Summer and George Ezra, other new entries to the top 40 come from Demi Lovato at No. 15 with ‘Neon Lights’ and The Kooks at No. 35 with ‘Around Town’.
