Mysterious rocker I N J I N brings back the emotive edge music is lacking with ‘Tennessee’

Folk rocker I N J I N has lived the real rock ‘n roll life, from hanging out with Jimi Hendrix’s drummer Mitch to members of Santana, however he didn’t always have the rock star lifestyle. His tough childhood influenced his song writing to form the personal album ‘Tennessee’ that escapes from the conveyor belt material being constantly churned out. The rock ballad title track was released earlier this year with a stunning music video.

When I N J I N turned 7 he stopped growing. In his teens he was 3’11, meaning he suffered from constant bullying but was luckily one of seven chosen in the UK to have the new breakthrough medical growth treatment tested on him. After a painful task, he began to grow and felt a major change in himself.

I N J I N’s difficult past gave him knowledge and experience and soon grew in confidence to push musical boundaries in re-arranging songs from the likes of Pink Floyd, Ten Years After and Deep Purple with his cover band Ruby Spoon. I N J I N took the name Ruby Spoon to America where he became a real rocker and his strong vocals were always what made him stand out amongst the others.

I N J I N believes that music has lost that personal touch that it once had so his aim with ‘Tennessee’ was to bring back the emotive edge, using forgotten instruments that blend beautifully with his raw vocals. Exploring different moods with a late 1800, early 1900s sound, I N J I N’s music has a mystical haunting sound, marrying pacific wind instruments with electric guitars.
